In today's Global Village, we again acknowledge Hiroshima Day, the 80th anniversary of the dropping of atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan on 6th and 9th August 1945. This anniversary occurs on Wednesday this week. There's a diversity of songs around this theme in the first part of today's program. And then live music from Timor-Leste in the second part of the program: Hamoris Lian Timor or Reviving the Sound of Timor is a powerful cultural project from Timor-Leste, which is currently touring Australia. Members of the project are here and play some music live in the studio for us later in today's program. Roger Holdsworth presenting.
