We continue a focus that we started last week with the recording of Waak Waak Jungi from the late 1990s. We talk with Peter Mummé, a founding member of that group, and he introduces a documentary he made 20 years ago - in 2001 - that explores the language and concepts of Aboriginal music. It also contains music from Waak Waak Djungi and Crystal Clear. Later, in the second hour, we hear some indigenous music from the Sámi people of northern Finland, in recognition of Sámi National Day next Saturday, and venture to Belgium, Cyprus and Crete - and Australia.
